Catching up With Calyptia: Gartner Names Calyptia a ‘Cool Vendor’ In Observability and Monitoring and FluentCon Kicks Off Next Week!

It’s been an exciting few months here at Calyptia. In March we announced a $5M seed round. Last month we launched the Calyptia Sandbox Environment for Fluent Bit, which lets users try out the latest version of Fluent Bit in as little as one minute, without deploying any infrastructure. Since then, we’ve been hard at work on a project that we’ll announce later this month during FluentCon Europe (Hint: it will include enterprise support for Fluent Bit). And today, we are announcing that Gartner® has named us a Cool Vendor in Observability and Monitoring in their 2022 report.

Gartner Cool Vendor 2022

As the report makes clear, enterprises are struggling with the volume and cost of their observability data, and the report highlights innovative vendors (including Calyptia) that are providing solutions to those struggles.

While Calyptia as a company may be new, my co-founder, Eduardo Silva, has been working on this problem for a while. He is, after all, the creator of Fluent Bit, the industry-standard open-source engine for enterprise observability of logs and metrics. Fluent Bit recently surpassed one billion deployments and cloud providers like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon embed Fluent Bit within their Kubernetes offerings.

Eduardo and I started Calyptia to deliver a First-Mile Observability Platform for the enterprise that scales and integrates seamlessly with existing observability backends to both improve systems analytics and reduce cost. In other words, to solve those challenges Gartner identifies in the Cool Vendor report.

It’s very exciting for us to be recognized at this stage as a Cool Vendor by Gartner.

But there’s a lot more to come.
